The Cyprus High Commission in London presents  “Beyond the Blur,” an art-photography exhibition by Cypriot fashion photographer Nikolas Louka.

Built from his collection of a decade-long career shooting fashion, portrait, theater, and commercial projects, Louka invites visitors to rethink the art of photography. Take away the illusory nature of lens manipulation, heavy makeup, strained smiles, and intense editing of modern photography, and what is left?

“I want the audience to celebrate the more invisible and intimate moments that are hidden behind a picture,” says Louka about the exhibit. Beyond the haze of the stillness and sparkle of a photograph lies deeper meanings of perfection and authenticity. Louka sets the scene for audiences to rediscover photography’s allure.
